I told everyone that I’ve worked with that I will see them when I see them because I hate to use the phrase “goodbye.”
I have now loaded up my budget truck (which is another story in itself) and I’m now only eight hours away from making this thirteen hour trip across to country to what will be my new home as well as my new challenge.
I’ve said it before and I will say it again, I’m ready to go.
I’m not overly excited or anxious, maybe a little eager but overall just ready to & focused to accomplish the task that I’ve set for myself.
By this time next week I will be in my new home in Georgia.
I will begin to pack this weekend and should be done by Monday, hopefully.
If not my last day at my current job will be Monday so I will an entire day Tuesday dedicated to packing and loading boxes.
People have been constantly asking me if I’m nervous, anxious or excited to go, all of which I’m not.
I’m eager for the new set of challenges that I will face but I’m not overly excited to leave due to the fact that I’m not leaving a bad situation.
I will certainly miss the friends, family and coworkers that I’ve had access to over the years but I will keep in contact with everyone.
I’m thankful for everything that I’ve experienced while here and I will never forget my upbringing nor the lessons that I’ve been taught.
I’m not exactly sure what the future has in store for me but I do know that it’s time for Oklahoma and I to part ways.
It seemed as though it were only yesterday when I visited Atlanta for the first time during the Bronner Brothers hair show.
It also seems as though it were just last week when I went to Atlanta for a second visit to make sure that I really wanted to relocate from Oklahoma to the State of Georgia.
As of today I have seventeen days remaining until I make an eight hundred mile trip from the midwest to the south.
Going from a small (yet growing) city to the city that some have dubbed “New York of the south.”
