Grass roots marketing

October 7th, 2009 dominik No comments

It seems as though once I’ve gotten one thing accomplished that something else pops up.

It also seems like I’ve said that at least one million times.

The issue that I’m dealing with right now is marketing.

Since this is a new service that is geared towards parents I’m trying a “grass roots” campaign in order to get a few sample runs under my belt.

So far I’ve narrowed down places where parents will be, in large masses.

Next week I will have my first trial run at mass marketing my service, hopefully it works.

After I get my first twenty clients then I will start building on the residual model of the service.

At this point all that I can do is be patient and remember that everything is done one step at a time.

Twenty one days later.

You’ve got to be kidding me.

After the failure of my “initial launch” I was attempting to swim with both of my hands behind my back.

A task which is possible but discouraging.

On August 19th I was able to finally overcome the objective that was holding me back thanks to someone special in my life.

Now I’m on to the next step in the process, marketing if everything that I’ve been waiting on turns out correctly.

Hopefully I should know something by this week.

No business license.

Good help is hard to find.

Where I live in technically in three different counties.

One handles my school district and the nearest school for my daughter is twenty minutes away.

There are five elementary schools that are closer to her but due to the district she can’t go to any of these schools.

My nearest fire department is less than a mile away however it isn’t the one for my county.

My nearest fire department is twenty minutes away.

I stay in a city that no one will recognize because I’m not in their county.

I was told by countless people that I could get my business license in their county however they were wrong.

Part of this is my fault but lesson learned, if you want something done right then you’ve got to do it yourself.
