How long before we see the A4 chip in a notebook?

I’m currently in the market for a replacement for my Macbook due to some issues as well as limitations that I’ve encountered.

Keep in mind that my system is 37 months old and is also a first generation machine so I have certainly gotten my moneys worth.

The only issue that I have in giving up my system is the fact that I paid extra to get this thing in black and now they no longer make a black system, they’re all aluminum.

I have been shopping around and debating on if I want to go with a 13” or the 15”.

The 13” is a perfect size but it is coming up pretty short when it comes to specs.

The 13” Macbook Pro is still using the Intel Core 2 Duo processor which is what my system is currently running (well technically I have a Core Duo), which is four year old technology!

The 15” Macbook Pro comes in three models, two of which are running i5 processors from Intel.

I love the additional screen size (will come in handy for work), processor speed and the larger hard drive option.

The only thing that I dislike is the fact that there is more to carry and the price.

I’m going to need this machine to last as long as my current machine which brings me to my question of how long will we have to wait until we see Apple using the A4 chip in a notebook?

Apple purchased a chip company for more than just the iPhone & ipad not to mention that Apple seems to love controlling every aspect of their systems so I would assume it is only a matter of time before that chip (or variation of) starts showing up in their notebooks.

Here in lies the problem for me, do I wait to see what Apple is going to come up with or buy now and hope that by the time they start using the chip that I have the ability to buy a new machine without thinking about it?

Never burn bridges.

About a year ago I did a job for someone that was nothing more than a client (at the time).

Today I’m on the set of an animation studio learning the ins & outs of how animation, sitcom and movie production works.

I’m also receiving a hands on lesson in what it takes to run a multi million dollar organization.

None of this would have happened had it not been for a relationship that I had that ended on a sour note.

I’m not sure what caused the relationship that I was end to tour sour (besides her being crazy) but it did.

I’m a firm believer in not burning bridges and this time it actually paid off.

The reason that it paid off is because the lady whom I’m referring to was the person that originally introduced me to my boss.

For this, I owe her greatly and this experience has reaffirmed what I’ve also believed in;

NEVER BURN BRIDGES because you never know when you will need to cross them again.

My idea is starting to make sense.

I’m not sure if I’ve stated this before but the pieces to this puzzle are starting slowly to unravel.

I still haven’t figured out a way to incorporate everything but at the very least I’m figuring out a way to create more time.

Allow me to explain a little bit further.

The company that I started on August 1st made perfect sense in theory but the execution was very cloudy.

My problem was not being sure on how to execute the service

Now I’ve decided to do provide a service that I really didn’t want to because of the amount of work but if it’s going to provide me with an additional income source as well as a way to market myself then so be it.

Luckily this service has afforded me the ability to use one of my best skill sets (computers) but it is also going to test my patients in terms of dealing with non tech savvy people.

Thanks to the power of the internet, I’ve run across a few more ideas that I can incorporate into my business, one of which I actually love to do.

All that I can do is continue to move forward one day at a time.
