I never thought that I would see the day that I sent more messages on Facebook than I did through email.
Facebook & twitter have become serious threats to traditional email due to the amount of time that I spent on these two companies.
Facebook & twitter aren’t social networking sites, they’re life connecting devices.
I’ve witnessed people coordinating events as small as a party, to as great as a revolution with less than 160 characters.
The fact that the POTUS is debating on making internet connectivity and social networking as basic human right tells me that neither one of these two forms of communication are going anywhere.
There have been recent rumors of a Facebook “device” however they’ve been shot down…could it just be too soon for such a device?
Google didn’t enter the mobile world until they had perfected their bread and butter (search) so I can’t see someone just as smart, making the same mistake and rushing to market.
There will be some type of Facebook mobile device but not for at least another 3-4 years.
Hopefully by that time wireless data networks in the USA will be deployed, test and affordable (I doubt it).
There will always be email in some form but how soon will traditional email (google) be replaced by what was once called “social networking?”
