iPad moment
I’m really looking forward to the second generation iPad (if the rumors are true) because I had my first iPad moment over the holiday.
I had to spend about 6 hours dealing with airports and planes, so lugging around a notebook wasn’t exactly fun (especially when I spend 16 hours in front of this notebook).
This was the first time that I wish I didn’t need my Macbook Pro because of a better alternative.
The only thing that I needed with me would have been a personal media player, web browser and potentially a way to charge my cell phone (making phone calls would have been nice too).
The iPad would have been a great way to have a substitute to my notebook.
Loading movies & music to the device is an easy process and since I have Safari I could have taken advantage of the inflight WiFi.
The only issue that I might have run into would have been not being able to charge my cell phone with a usb port if I needed to.
I’m really excited about the next version of the iPad, if they upgrade to the device to dual cameras, a 4G connection, retina display (if possible) then I’d grab one.
I’d like to see the next version of the Samsung Tab (hopefully with a Super AMOLED display) before I make a fully support Apple in this current device war.
Gotta love technology.
