Pimping your child.
About a month ago I had a conversation with someone that told me that some of my plans for my daughter were very similar to a pimp.
I naturally got defensive about her stance but after allowing her to explain where she was coming from I eventually agreed.
Lately all I’ve been doing is telling myself that I would rather pimp my daughter instead of allowing corporations to pimp, exploit and neglect.
My mother has worked for an organization longer than I’ve been alive and she still has issues.
I’ve been with a company for a little less than a decade and I’ve got stories so why would I allow my daughter to experience anything near what I’ve gone through?
I can’t think of one reason why I shouldn’t teach this little girl everything that I know about the world, starting at age six.
I can’t protect her from the world forever so I might as well prepare her for it.
I’ve already told her about Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny and the tooth fairy.
The next step is for her to get a job, she is grown now.
