Same task, second time around
Around this time last year I came to the realization that there was no such thing as a coincidence thanks to the Bronner Brothers Hair Show.
At the time I really didn’t know the significance of a trip that I initially thought was going to be a much needed vacation.
Almost an entire year has passed since and my life has changed dramatically.
The biggest change is the fact that I’m now a resident of Georgia.
I’m in a completely different role with the company that I worked for in Oklahoma, however my attitude towards the company is completely different (no need to go into details).
I have also come to the realization that previous ties that I was hanging onto because it was perceived to be the right thing to do, have to be cut in order for me to grow as a person.
I’ve also been smacked in the face with the fact that this transition is going to be much more difficult than I initially thought, however this was part of the reason that I wanted to move, a challenge.
I have also found out that I’ve got “swagg”, I’m sexy, handsome but I’m also a square according to Atlanta standards, all of which were news to me.
Not everything has been doom and gloom though, for example:
I’ve met some very nice people that are goal oriented and have the ability to achieve their goals.
I’m in a new market with hundreds of thousands of potential customers.
I’ve been told what I need to work in order to “catch” the market that I’m trying to seize (thanks to whomever you are).
I’m surrounded by women. -=o)
Back to the subject at hand, the Bronner Brothers Hair Show 2008.
Last year I had no idea what to expect when it came to the show and I still did very well.
This year I know not only what to expect but how I want to approach the task at hand.
I CAN NOT WAIT to get to work this saturday.
How many chances to you get at a second opportunity?
Out of those second opportunities did you take advantage knowing what you learned from the first time?
I’ve set my expectations very high and anything but success isn’t an option.
The countdown to the Bronner Brothers Hair Show 2008…
P.S. This will be the first time that I’ve seen my mother in 3 months too!
