Home > Talking to myself > I had the honor.

I had the honor.

Over the weekend I had the honor of being in a wedding for one of my friends.

When I was asked to be in the wedding (in Sept) I didn’t fully comprehend how big of a deal it was for him to ask me as well as for me to accept.

My wedding weekend started at about 3:45 EST on friday.

I got MAYBE an hours worth of sleep on thursday and had to catch a flight to Oklahoma at 6:30 friday morning.

When I met up with my boy that was getting married (Vhall) and we took the rest of the day running around completing everything that we needed to before the big day (rehearsal, tuxes, his family etc).

That evening I caught up with two of my former bosses from my job in OKC and had a few drinks at Fridays.

I had a good time with them and caught up with everything that had been going on in their lives as well as some of my former coworkers.

The next day was the big day, well at least for Vhall, all that I had to do was look presentable and walk in unison with my bridesmaid.

We all did as we were instructed and the ceremony went off without a hitch which resulted in a beautiful wedding.

The reason that I’m saying that I had the honor is because they trusted me to be one of a handful of people to not only witness but be a part of a LIFELONG partnership between two people.

Two families merged in less than the amount of time that I worked in a day thanks to the vows that they took towards each other in front of their friends and families.

I’m thankful & honored that I got to be a part of their life long commitment to each other and I wish them the best.

P.S. I was clean!

Me trying on my tux.

About half way done with the transformation.

I do not have a gut (at least not that big), that’s the shirt.

Me practicing my smile.

Side profile.

Ain’t nobody dope as me…
