I had the honor.

Over the weekend I had the honor of being in a wedding for one of my friends.

When I was asked to be in the wedding (in Sept) I didn’t fully comprehend how big of a deal it was for him to ask me as well as for me to accept.

My wedding weekend started at about 3:45 EST on friday.

I got MAYBE an hours worth of sleep on thursday and had to catch a flight to Oklahoma at 6:30 friday morning.

When I met up with my boy that was getting married (Vhall) and we took the rest of the day running around completing everything that we needed to before the big day (rehearsal, tuxes, his family etc).

  • Go through and tag all the documents that I’ve created so far.
  • Write about WiMax or the iPhone/Samsung Instinct
  • I’m going to hold on on writing about the iPhone and the Samsung Instinct until they launch.

I’ve almost completed the task of going through all of my post and doing basic maintenance on them, I will be done by tonight.

  • Finish up the tags from my posts
  • Take some progressing shots from my work outs.

    WiMax, I told ya so.

WiMAX, the Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access, is a telecommunications technology that provides wireless data in a variety of ways, from point-to-point links to full mobile cellular type access.

So what this means the mobile network that your current cell phone uses to surf the internet, download ringers, screen savers and music will soon be upgraded to a network that is capable of delivering true broad band (like your cable modem, dsl or work network) speeds over an extremely large area (as long ‘re you’re in coverage).

When WiMax was revealed to be the next network that Sprint planned on building for mobile broadband I told everyone (at least anyone that would listen) that Google was going to either by the WiMax network or Sprint all together.

Well Google didn’t buy Sprint nor the Wimax network but G (google) did drop a nice chunk of change towards the new company that was formed when Sprint Spun off WiMax in a partnership with Clearwire.

The reason why I feel as though this is important is because these companies that are forming & backing this technology want everyone connected at any given time in place.

The main companies investing in the Wimax Network are:
    Google
    Comcast
    Time Warner
    Intel
