Our lives can change from something as basic as an unexpected phone call, accident, illness or surprise or a change of heart and the decisions that we make afterwards will affect our families forever.
When I was in middle school my father learned that his entire plant (company that made F-15′s) was going to be closing around the same time that my parents were in the process of getting a divorce.
I remember my mother and I having a conversation after we found out the news and I told her that I had a bad day at school.
She looked at me with one of her infamous looks and said, “Try losing your job.”
